Traditional German Beef Roast
A classic German-inspired dish featuring a tender beef roast with a crispy, flavorful crust.
Ingredients

- ●2 cups fluffyfluffy bread rolls, for serving
- ●1 cup britishmushrooms, sliced
- ●1 cup beef brothhomemade or store-bought
- ●2-3 roast potatoescut into wedges
- ●1 tsp caraway seedsfor added flavor
- ●1 tsp salt
- ●1 tsp pepper
- ●2 tbsp butterfor basting

Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).

Season the beef roast with salt, pepper, and caraway seeds.

Heat butter in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Sear the beef roast on all sides until browned, about 5 minutes per side.

Transfer the Dutch oven to the preheated oven and roast for 20 minutes.

Reduce oven temperature to 180°C (350°F) and continue roasting for an additional 40-50 minutes, or until the beef reaches your desired level of doneness.

While the roast is cooking, toss the sliced mushrooms with a bit of oil and season with salt and pepper. Sear in a skillet over medium-high heat until tender and golden brown.

About 20-30 minutes before the roast is done, add the roast potatoes to the oven and roast until crispy and golden brown.

Remove the beef roast from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.

Serve with the roasted potatoes, sautéed mushrooms, and fluffy bread rolls on the side.
