Turkish-Inspired Chicken Pilaf
A flavorful Indian-inspired dish that combines the richness of Turkish spices with the comfort of a pilaf.
Ingredients
- β1 lb chicken breast
- β1 cup pilaf rice
- β2 tsp flavorful spice blend (e.g. garam masala)
- β2 tbsp olive oil
- β1 medium onion
- β2 cloves garlic
- β1 tsp cumin
- β1 tsp coriander
- βto taste salt
- β1 tsp turkish paprika
Instructions

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the cumin, coriander, and salt, and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.

Add the chicken breast and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-6 minutes.

Add the pilaf rice and cook for 2-3 minutes, until lightly toasted.

Add the flavorful spice blend and turkish paprika, and stir to combine.

Add 2 cups of water to the skillet and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the liquid has been absorbed and the rice is tender.

Fluff the pilaf with a fork and serve hot.

Serve with additional turkish paprika on top, if desired.
