Smoked Lamb Stew
A hearty, flavorful stew made with lamb and a blend of spices, perfect for a cold winter's day.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds Lamb shoulder
- β1 large Onion
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β2 tablespoons Flavorful spice blend
- β1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
- β2 medium Carrots
- β2 large Potatoes
- β1 cup Red wine
- β2 cups Beef broth

Preheat the oven to 300Β°F (150Β°C).

Season the lamb shoulder with the flavorful spice blend, smoked paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

Heat a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Sear the lamb shoulder until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Remove the lamb from the pot and set it aside.

Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the carrots and potatoes to the pot and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Add the red wine and beef broth to the pot, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.

Return the lamb to the pot and transfer it to the preheated oven.

Braise the stew for 2 1/2 hours, or until the lamb is tender and falling apart.
