Savory British Pork Crumble
A hearty and comforting dish featuring tender pork in a rich crumble topping.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds Pork shoulder, diced
- β1 sheet British flaky pastrythawed
- β6 slices Bacon, diced
- β1 medium Onion, diced
- β2 medium Carrots, peeled and diced
- β1 cup Pearl onions, peeled
- β2 tablespoons All-purpose flour
- β1 cup Breadcrumbs
- β1 cup Cheddar cheese, grated
- β1 Egg, beatenfor egg wash

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large skillet, cook the diced pork over medium-high heat until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add the diced bacon and cook until crispy, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the diced onion and carrots, and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Roll out the British flaky pastry to a thickness of about 1/8 inch.

Transfer the cooked pork mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Place the pastry over the pork mixture, pressing the edges to seal.

Brush the egg wash over the pastry.
