German Apple Strudel Crumble
A twist on the classic German dessert, adding a crunchy almond crumble topping.
Ingredients
- β1 sheet australian flaky pastry
- β1/2 cup almond pastemake sure to soften the almond paste before using
- β2 cups sliced applesany variety of apple, peeled and sliced
- β1/2 cup granulated sugar
- β1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- β1 tsp ground cinnamon
- β1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- β1/2 cup unsalted buttermelted
- β1 cup almond crumble topping

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Roll out the Australian flaky pastry to a large rectangle.

In a bowl, mix together the almond paste, sliced apples, granulated sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Arrange the apple mixture on one half of the pastry rectangle.

Fold the other half of the pastry over the apple mixture and press edges to seal.

Crumble the almond crumble topping over the pastry.

Dot the top with melted unsalted butter.
