Spicy Peruvian Cheese Fritters
A crispy Indian-inspired snack combining the heat of Peruvian peppers with the creaminess of cheese.
Ingredients
- β2 Fiery Peruvian peppers
- β1 cup Gram flourall-purpose flour
- β1 cup Shredded cheeseMonterey Jack or similar
- β2 tsp Taco seasoning
- β1 tsp Baking powder
- β1/2 tsp Salt
- β1/2 cup Vegetable oilfor frying

Preheat the oil in a deep frying pan to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large bowl, combine the gram flour, shredded cheese, taco seasoning, baking powder, and salt.

Add the chopped Peruvian peppers and mix well.

Add water as needed to form a thick batter.

Using a spoon, drop small balls of the batter into the hot oil.

Fry the fritters until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.

Remove the fritters from the oil with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
