Fermented Lamb Stew
A hearty stew made with tender lamb, rich broth, and a tangy twist from fermented ingredients. Serve with some crusty bread for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- β1.5 lbs Lamb shoulder
- β1 cup Fermented cabbage
- β1 head Crisp lettuce
- β4 cups Syrian broth
- β1 tsp Salt
- β1 tsp Black pepper
- β2 tbsp Olive oil

Heat the olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add the lamb shoulder and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Add the fermented cabbage and cook for another 2 minutes.

Pour in the Syrian broth and bring the mixture to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer, covered, for 1 1/2 hours, or until the lamb is tender.
