Portuguese Bread Gratina
A rich and satisfying gratin made with portuguese bread and a creamy emulsified sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 loaf, cubed Portuguese bread
- β2 tablespoons Butter
- β1 cup Emulsified sauce
- β1 cup Grated cheese
- β4 large Eggs
- βto taste Salt
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Butter a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Arrange half of the bread cubes in the prepared baking dish.

Pour half of the emulsified sauce over the bread cubes.

Sprinkle with half of the grated cheese and half of the chopped eggs.

Repeat the layers, starting with the bread, then the emulsified sauce, the remaining cheese, and finally the remaining eggs.

Season with salt to taste.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.

Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the gratin is set.
