Creamy Chicken Fettuccine
A rich and creamy Italian dish made with fettuccine noodles, chicken, and a silky sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast chickenCut into bite-sized pieces
- β1 pound fettuccine noodlesFresh or dried
- β4 tablespoons butterUnsalted
- β1 medium onionDiced
- β3 cloves garlicMinced
- β1 cup heavy creamFreshly made whipped cream can be substituted
- β1 cup grated parmesan cheeseFreshly shredded
- β1 teaspoon saltTo taste
- β1/2 teaspoon black pepperTo taste

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the fettuccine noodles according to package instructions.

In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.

Add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes.

Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter in the skillet.

Pour in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a simmer.

Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes or until it thickens slightly.

Stir in the grated parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.

Add the cooked fettuccine noodles to the sauce and toss to coat.
