Peanut Crumble Wontons
Crispy wontons filled with a peanut crumble mixture, a unique twist on traditional Chinese appetizers.
Ingredients
- β1 package (12-16 wrappers) Wonton wrappers
- β2 tablespoons Peanut butter
- β1/2 cup Crumble (German)
- β1/4 cup, chopped Scallions
- β2 tablespoons Soy sauce
- β1/2 cup Vegetable oil
- β1 cup, sliced Earthly mushrooms
- β1 sheet, crumbled Flaky pastry

Preheat a deep fryer to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a medium bowl, mix together peanut butter, crumble, scallions, and soy sauce.

Add sliced mushrooms to the bowl and mix until combined.

Place a wonton wrapper on a flat surface and place a small spoonful of the peanut crumble mixture in the center of the wrapper.

Brush the edges of the wrapper with water and fold the wrapper into a triangle, pressing the edges to seal.

Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

In batches, fry the wontons until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Drain the wontons on paper towels and serve hot with a side of soy sauce for dipping.

If desired, sprinkle with crumbled flaky pastry for garnish.
