Earthy Dutch Pea Soup
A hearty and comforting soup made with earthy mushrooms, dutch peas, and aromatic broth.
Ingredients
- β1 cup, sliced mushrooms
- β1 cup, frozen dutch peas
- β4 cups water
- β2 cups, vegetable broth broth
- β1 medium, chopped onionoptional
- β2 cloves, minced garlicoptional
Instructions

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large pot over medium heat.

Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they release their liquid and start to brown, about 5 minutes.

Add the chopped onion and cook for another 2-3 minutes, until softened.

Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.

Add the frozen peas, vegetable broth, and 4 cups of water to the pot.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the peas are tender.
