Japanese Curry Pork Tenderloin
A French-inspired twist on traditional Japanese curry, served with a tenderloin of pork. This dish combines the rich flavors of French cuisine with the bold spices of Japan.
Ingredients
- ●1 (1 pound) pork tenderloin
- ●2 tablespoons dreamy curry powder
- ●1 tablespoon japanese curry paste
- ●1 cup pork broth
- ●1 tablespoon sugar
- ●2 tablespoons soy sauce
- ●1 cup rice
- ●2 tablespoons olive oil
- ●1/4 cup green onions
- ●2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- 1
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- 2
Season the pork tenderloin with salt and pepper.
- 3
Heat the olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
- 4
Sear the pork tenderloin until browned on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- 5
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and cook the pork to an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C), about 15-20 minutes.
- 6
While the pork is cooking, combine the curry powder, curry paste, pork broth, sugar, and soy sauce in a small saucepan.
- 7
Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat and cook until the sauce has thickened slightly, about 5-7 minutes.
- 8
Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- 9
Serve the sliced pork with the Japanese curry sauce spooned over the top and steamed rice on the side.
- 10
Garnish with green onions and serve immediately.
- 11
Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat and brush it over the pork tenderloin during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
- 12
This will add a rich, caramelized flavor to the pork.
