Stuffed Grape Leaves (Dolmas)
A classic Syrian dish where grape leaves are stuffed with a mix of rice, meat, and spices.
Ingredients
- β12-15 leaves Grape leaves
- β1 cup Rice
- β1/2 cup Ground meat
- β1 tablespoon Olive oil
- β1/2 cup Onion
- β1 teaspoon Allspice
- β1/2 teaspoon Salt
- β1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
- β1 tablespoon Vinegar
Instructions

Soak grape leaves in water for 30 minutes.

Prepare the filling: mix rice, ground meat, olive oil, onion, allspice, salt, and pepper.

Place a grape leaf on a flat surface, with the stem end facing you.

Place a tablespoon of the filling in the center of the grape leaf.

Fold the stem end over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll the leaf into a neat package.

Repeat with the remaining grape leaves and filling.

Place the dolmas seam-side down in a pot and add vinegar to the water.

Bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20-25 minutes.
