Turkish Lamb Pilaf for Post-Workout
A hearty and flavorful Turkish-inspired pilaf made with lamb and spices, perfect for a post-workout meal to replenish energy.
Ingredients
- β1 pound, cut into 1-inch pieces LambChoose leaner cuts for a healthier option
- β1 cup Turkish Pilaf RiceUse a mix specifically labeled as Turkish pilaf
- β2 medium, peeled and chopped Dense Roast CarrotsAdd for extra fiber and vitamins
- β1 medium, chopped OnionSaute with garlic for added flavor

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add lamb and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Remove lamb from skillet and set aside.

Add onion and garlic to skillet and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Add pilaf rice and cook for 1-2 minutes, until lightly toasted.

Add 2 cups of water to skillet and bring to a boil.

Add lamb back into skillet and stir to combine.

Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until rice is tender.
