Homemade Lasagna
A classic Italian dish made with layers of pasta, rich meat sauce, and creamy cheese. Perfect for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
- β8-10 sheets Lasagna
- β1 pound Ground Beef80/20 lean to fat ratio
- β2 cups Tomato Saucehomemade or store-bought
- β16 ounces Ricotta Cheese
- β8 ounces Parmesan Cheeseshredded
- β8 ounces Mozzarella Cheeseshredded
- β1 cup Fresh Basilchopped

Preheat oven to 350Β°F (180Β°C).

Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions.

In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium-high heat.

Add tomato sauce to the skillet and stir to combine.

In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese and egg. Mix well.

Spread a layer of meat sauce in the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Arrange 4 lasagna noodles on top of the meat sauce.

Spread half of the ricotta cheese mixture over the noodles.

Sprinkle with half of the mozzarella cheese and half of the parmesan cheese.

Repeat the layers, starting with the meat sauce, noodles, ricotta cheese mixture, and finally the remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheese.

Top with chopped basil.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
