Saudi Arabian Spicy Lamb Kebabs
A flavorful and spicy dish from the Middle East, featuring tender lamb kebabs marinated in a blend of aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- β500g Lamb shoulder, cut into 1-inch cubesMake sure to pat dry the lamb cubes before marinating
- β100g YogurtYou can use plain or flavored yogurt
- β2 tsp Spice blend (e.g. garam masala, cumin, coriander, cinnamon)Adjust to taste
- β1 tsp Red pepper flakesUse more or less depending on your desired level of heat
- β2 tbsp Lime juiceFreshly squeezed or bottled
- β1 tsp Ginger pasteYou can make your own or use store-bought
- β2 cloves Garlic, mincedUse 1-2 cloves depending on your desired level of garlic flavor
- β1 tsp SaltAdjust to taste
- β1/2 tsp Black pepperAdjust to taste
- β2 tbsp Vegetable oilFor brushing the grill or cooking pan

In a blender or food processor, combine yogurt, spice blend, red pepper flakes, lime juice, ginger paste, garlic, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth.

Add the lamb cubes to the marinade and mix until they are fully coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Remove the lamb cubes from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off.

Thread the lamb cubes onto skewers, leaving a small space between each cube. Brush the grill or cooking pan with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.

Grill the kebabs for 8-10 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through and slightly charred.

Transfer the kebabs to a serving platter and garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro, if desired.
