Spicy Indian Basmati Biryani
A flavorful and aromatic rice dish originating from India, made with the goodness of basmati rice and a blend of spices.
Ingredients
- ●1 cup Basmati rice
- ●1 tsp Biryani masala
- ●2 tbsp Ghee or vegetable oil
- ●1 medium Onion
- ●1 tsp Ginger paste
- ●1 tsp Garlic paste
- ●2 tbsp Tomato puree
- ●1 tsp Red chili powder
- ●1 tsp Cumin seedswhole
- ●10-12 Cashew nutschopped

Heat 1 tbsp of ghee or oil in a large pan over medium heat.

Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.

Add onion and sauté until it's translucent.

Add ginger paste and garlic paste and sauté for another minute.

Add tomato puree and mix well.

Add biryani masala, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.

Add 2 cups of water and bring the mixture to a boil.

Add basmati rice and mix well.

Reduce the heat to low and cook covered for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and fluffy.

Garnish with chopped cashew nuts and serve hot.
