Delicious Venezuelan Empanadas
A traditional Venezuelan dish made with crispy empanada dough and a variety of delicious fillings.

Ingredients
- β4-6 pieces Empanada doughhomemade or store-bought
- β1 cup, frozen Cornthawed
- β1/2 cup, finely chopped Onionoptional
- β2 cloves, minced Garlicoptional
- β1/4 cup, crumbled Cotija cheeseoptional
- β2 tbsp Salsaoptional

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Roll out the empanada dough into thin circles.

Place 1-2 tbsp of corn in the center of each dough circle.

Add onion and garlic if using.

Sprinkle Cotija cheese if using.

Fold the dough in half to form a half-circle shape and press the edges to seal.

Place the empanadas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Brush the tops with a little water and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
