Algerian Sea Bass Tagine
A flavorful and aromatic Algerian dish made with sea bass, preserved lemons, and olives.
Ingredients
- β2 fillets Sea Bass1 pound each
- β1/2 cup Algerian Preserved Lemons (chopped)
- β1/2 cup Green Olives (pitted)
- β1/4 cup Cilantro (chopped)
- β3 cloves Garlic (minced)
- β2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black Pepper
- β1 teaspoon Cumin
- β1 teaspoon Paprika
- β1 teaspoon Algerian Spices (optional)a blend of cumin, coriander, and cinnamon

Heat the oil in a large clay or ceramic tagine over medium heat.

Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.

Add the chopped preserved lemons and cook for 2 minutes.

Add the green olives and cook for 1 minute.

Add the cumin, paprika, and Algerian spices (if using) and cook for 1 minute.

Season the sea bass with salt and black pepper, then add to the tagine.

Cover the tagine and cook for 8-10 minutes, until the fish is cooked through.
