Saudi Arabian Delicate Chicken and Rice
A flavorful Saudi Arabian dish made with tender chicken, fluffy rice, and a hint of spices. Serve with a side of fresh vegetables.
Ingredients
- ●1 1/2 pounds chicken breastboneless and skinless
- ●2 cups long grain ricepreferably basmati
- ●2 tablespoons delicate saudi spicesmix of cumin, coriander, and turmeric
- ●4 cups bowl of waterfor cooking rice
- ●1 teaspoon arabian seeds (like cumin seeds or nigella seeds)optional for added flavor
Instructions

Rinse the chicken breast and pat dry with paper towels.

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the chicken breast and cook until browned on both sides, about 5-6 minutes.

Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Add 2 tablespoons of oil to the skillet and sauté the saudi spices for 1 minute.

Add the long grain rice to the skillet and stir to coat with the spice mixture.

Add the bowl of water to the skillet and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and simmer for 18-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked.

Fluff the cooked rice with a fork and stir in the arabian seeds (if using).

Serve the chicken breast on top of the rice and garnish with fresh vegetables.
