Dutch-Style Chicken Flatbread
A delicious and easy to make flatbread topped with chicken, inspired by Dutch cuisine.
Ingredients
- β1 pound chicken breastboneless and skinless
- β1 package (8-10 pieces) flatbreadpreferably Dutch-style
- β1 medium onionthinly sliced
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β1/4 cup buttermilkfor marinating chicken
- β2 tablespoons olive oilfor brushing flatbread
- βto taste salt
- βto taste pepper

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

In a large bowl, whisk together buttermilk and a pinch of salt. Add chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Remove chicken from buttermilk and pat dry with paper towels.

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes per side.

Meanwhile, brush flatbread with the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil.

Place flatbread in the oven and toast for 2-3 minutes, or until lightly browned.

Top each flatbread piece with a piece of cooked chicken, a few slices of onion, and a sprinkle of minced garlic.
