Braised Chicken Kebabs
A flavorful and aromatic Indian-inspired dish featuring tender chicken, marinated in a blend of spices and slow-cooked to perfection.
Ingredients

- β1 medium, minced gingerfresh
- β3 cloves, minced garlicfresh
- β1 pound, boneless and skinless, cut into 1-inch pieces chickendelicate
- β1 teaspoon, ground cumin
- β1 teaspoon, ground coriander
- β1/2 teaspoon, ground turmeric
- β1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- β1/2 cup yogurt
- β4-6 kebab skewers
- βchopped fresh cilantrofor garnish

Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

In a blender or food processor, combine ginger, garlic, cumin, coriander, turmeric, and cayenne pepper. Blend until smooth.

In a large bowl, whisk together the blended spice mixture, yogurt, and 1 tablespoon of the butter.

Add the chicken to the marinade and mix until the chicken is well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.

Thread the marinated chicken onto the kebab skewers, leaving a small space between each piece.

Place the kebab skewers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter over the kebabs.

Bake the kebabs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.

While the kebabs are baking, heat a large skillet over medium heat.

Once the kebabs are done, remove them from the oven and place them in the skillet. Braise the kebabs in the skillet for 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is nicely browned and the sauce has thickened.

Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot.

Serve the braised kebabs with basmati rice or naan bread, if desired.
