Chicken and Sausage Paella
A German twist on the classic Spanish dish, featuring chicken and sausage in a delicious paella.
Ingredients
- β1 pound, cut into 1-inch pieces Chicken breast
- β1 pound, sliced Basque sausage
- β1 cup Delicate rice
- β1, diced Tomato
- β1, diced Bell pepper
- β2 tablespoons Olive oil
- β1, diced Onion
- β2 cloves, minced Garlic
- β2 cups Chicken broth
- β1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper
Instructions

Heat oil in a large paella pan over medium-high heat.

Add chicken and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add onion and bell pepper and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.

Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add rice and cook for 1-2 minutes, until lightly toasted.

Add chicken broth, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 20-25 minutes.

Add diced tomato and continue to simmer, covered, for an additional 5 minutes.

Remove from heat and let rest, covered, for 5 minutes.
