Japanese Plantain Empanada Fritters
A unique fusion of Venezuelan empanada dough and Japanese flavors, these crispy fritters are a tasty twist on traditional plantain empanadas.

- ●1 package (homemade or store-bought) Venezuelan Empanada Dough
- ●1 tablespoon Dehydrated Seaweed Flakes
- ●2 tablespoons Sweet Soy Sauce
- ●1 cup Vegetable Oil

1. Preheat oil in a deep frying pan to 350°F (175°C).

2. Peel and slice the plantain into 1/4-inch thick rounds.

3. In a small bowl, mix together seaweed flakes and sweet soy sauce.

4. Brush the empanada dough with water and cut into desired shapes.

5. Place a plantain slice in the center of each dough shape and brush with seaweed-soy mixture.
