Slovakian Papelon Gratin
A hearty Slovakian-inspired dish featuring papelon, deeply rich flavors, and a satisfying crunch.
Ingredients

- ●1/2 cup savoury breadcrumbs
- ●3 cloves garlic
- ●2 tbsp olive oil
- ●1 tsp salt
- ●1/2 tsp black pepper
- ●1 cup gratin cheese
- ●1/4 cup fresh parsley

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Peel and slice the papelon into 1-inch thick rounds.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

Add the papelon slices to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until tender.

Transfer the papelon slices to a baking dish.

Sprinkle the savoury breadcrumbs, salt, and black pepper over the papelon.
