Nostalgic Blackberry Crumble
A traditional dessert that combines the sweetness of blackberries with a crunchy oat topping.
Ingredients

- β1 cup rolled oatsquick oats work too
- β1/2 cup brown sugaradjust to taste
- β1/2 cup cold unsalted buttercut into small pieces
- β2 tablespoons turbinado sugaroptional

In a large bowl, mix together blackberries, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Let it sit for about 15 minutes, until the blackberries start to release their juice.

In a separate bowl, combine flour, oats, and turbinado sugar.

Add the cold butter to the dry ingredients and use a pastry blender or your fingers to work the butter into the mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.

Transfer the blackberry mixture to a 9x9-inch baking dish and top it with the crumb mixture.
