Crispy Coconut Shrimp Algerian-Style
Delicious crispy coconut shrimp dish with an Algerian twist, perfect for a satisfying snack or appetizer.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Shrimppeeled and deveined
- β1 cup All-purpose flourgluten-free
- β1 cup Coconut flakesunsweetened
- β1 Eggbeaten
- β1 teaspoon Algerian spicesor substitute with a mix of cumin, paprika, and coriander
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Pepper
- βfor frying Vegetable oil

1. In a shallow dish, mix together flour, Algerian spices, salt, and pepper.

2. In a separate dish, beat the egg.

3. In a third dish, place the coconut flakes.

4. Dip each shrimp into the flour mixture, coating both sides, then into the beaten egg, and finally into the coconut flakes, pressing gently to adhere.

5. Heat about 1/2-inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

6. When the oil is hot, add a few of the coated shrimp to the skillet (do not overcrowd).
