German Squash Fritters
A crispy German-inspired dish made with squash and a variety of spices. This recipe is perfect as a side or main course.
Ingredients
- β1 medium Squash
- β1/4 cup Greek Yogurt
- β1/2 cup Bread Crumbs
- β1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour
- β1 Egg
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black Pepper
- β1/4 cup Crispy Onion, chopped
- β1/4 cup Fresh Parsley, chopped

Preheat oil in a deep frying pan to 350Β°F (175Β°C).

Peel and grate the squash. Squeeze out excess moisture.

In a large bowl, combine the squash, Greek yogurt, bread crumbs, flour, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

Add the chopped crispy onion and parsley to the mixture. Mix until combined.

Using a spoon, drop small amounts of the mixture into the hot oil.

Fry the squash fritters for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

Remove the fritters from the oil with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
