Russian Fermented Dumplings
A traditional Russian dish made with fermented fillings, wrapped in homemade dumpling dough.
Ingredients
- β1 package Dumpling dough
- β1 cup Fermented cabbage
- β4 slices Russian sausage
- β1 cup Rice
- β1 cup Flourfor dusting
- β1/2 cup Sweet onion
- β4 slices Crispy bacon
Instructions

Combine dumpling dough ingredients and knead for 10 minutes.

Divide dough into 8-10 equal pieces.

Roll out each piece into a thin circle.

Place 1 tablespoon of fermented cabbage mixture in the center of each circle.

Add a slice of Russian sausage on top of the cabbage.

Fold the dough over the filling and press edges together to seal.

Dust the surface with flour.

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add 2 tablespoons of oil and swirl to coat the bottom.

Add the dumplings and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

Serve hot with crispy bacon bits on top.
