German Fish Fry
A classic German dish featuring crispy fried fish, served with a side of stir-fried vegetables.
Ingredients
- β4 fish fillets
- β1 cup all-purpose flour
- β2 beaten eggs
- β1 cup stir-fry vegetables (bell peppers, carrots, onions)
- β1 cup peruvian corn flakescrushed
- β4 crispy bacon bits
- β1 tsp salt
- β1 tsp black pepper
- β1 cup vegetable oil
Instructions

Heat 1/2 cup of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Dredge the fish fillets in the flour, shaking off excess.

Dip the floured fish fillets in the beaten eggs, making sure they are fully coated.

Roll the egg-coated fish fillets in the crushed Peruvian corn flakes to coat.

Place the coated fish fillets in the hot oil and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Remove the fried fish from the oil with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

In the same skillet, heat 1/4 cup of vegetable oil over medium heat.

Add the stir-fry vegetables to the skillet and cook until tender-crisp, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the crispy bacon bits, salt, and black pepper to the skillet and stir to combine.

Serve the fried fish with the stir-fry vegetables and crispy bacon bits.

Garnish with additional Peruvian corn flakes if desired.
