Crispy Potato Fritters
A Mexican twist on traditional fritters, these crispy potato bites are perfect as a snack or side dish.
Ingredients
- β2 large Potatoespeeled and grated
- β1 medium Onionfinely chopped
- β2 cloves Garlicminced
- β1 Eggbeaten
- β1/2 cup Flourall-purpose flour
- β1/2 teaspoon Cuminground
- β1/4 teaspoon Chili powderground
- β1/2 teaspoon Saltto taste
- β1/2 cup Vegetable oilfor frying

In a large bowl, combine grated potatoes, chopped onion, minced garlic, beaten egg, flour, cumin, chili powder, and salt. Mix well.

Heat 1/4 cup of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Using a spoon, drop small amounts of the potato mixture into the oil, flattening slightly with a spatula.

Fry the fritters for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.

Drain the fritters on paper towels and serve hot.

Repeat the process with the remaining potato mixture.
