Crispy Pineapple Skewers
A sweet and crunchy dessert featuring caramelized pineapple and crispy wonton strips.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Pineapplefresh, cubed
- β1 package Wonton wrappersgluten-free
- β2 tablespoons Vegetable oilfor frying
- β2 tablespoons Brown sugarfor caramelizing pineapple
- β1/4 teaspoon Cinnamonoptional
- β1/4 teaspoon Saltoptional
- β2 tablespoons Waterfor brushing wonton wrappers

2. In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.

3. Add the cubed pineapple to the bowl and toss to coat with the sugar mixture.

4. Thread the pineapple onto skewers, leaving a small space between each piece.

5. In a separate bowl, whisk together water and a pinch of salt. Brush the mixture onto the wonton wrappers.

6. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

7. Fry the wonton wrappers until crispy and golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

8. Remove the wonton wrappers from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
