Chicken Fricassee
A classic French dish made with chicken, creamy sauce, and a hint of turkish spice.
Ingredients
- β4 chicken breastcut into bite-sized pieces
- β1 onionchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- β2 tablespoons butterunsalted
- β1 teaspoon turkish red pepper flakes
- β1 cup heavy cream

Season the chicken with salt and pepper.

Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the chicken and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

Reduce heat to medium and add the chopped onion. Cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.

Sprinkle the flour over the onion mixture and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Gradually add the heavy cream, whisking continuously to avoid lumps.

Add the cooked chicken back into the skillet and stir to coat with the creamy sauce.

Simmer the fricassee over low heat for 5-7 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.
