Thai Tagine Tofu
A fusion of Thai flavors with a Moroccan tagine, served with a creamy sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 block (14 oz) Tofu
- β2 teaspoons Tagine spice blend
- β1 can (14 oz) Coconut milk
- β2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
- β1 medium Onion
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β1 medium Bell pepper
- β1/4 cup Thai basil
- β1 tablespoon Fish sauce
- β1 tablespoon Soy sauce
Instructions

1. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in the bottom of a large clay or ceramic tagine over medium heat.

2. Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

3. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.

4. Add the bell pepper and cook for 5 minutes.

5. Add the tagine spice blend and cook for 1 minute.

6. Add the tofu and cook until golden brown, about 5 minutes.

7. Pour in the coconut milk and bring the mixture to a simmer.

8. Reduce the heat to low and cook, covered, for 10-15 minutes.

9. Stir in the fish sauce and soy sauce.

10. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
