Chicken Tagine
A classic Moroccan dish made with chicken cooked in a flavorful tagine sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds chicken breastboneless and skinless
- β2 tablespoons tagine saucestore-bought or homemade
- β2 tablespoons olive oilfor cooking
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β1/2 cup creamycoconut cream or heavy cream
- β1 cup chicken brothlow-sodium
- β1 teaspoon cuminground
- β1 teaspoon corianderground
- β1/2 teaspoon paprikasmoked

Heat the olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Add the cumin, coriander, and paprika. Cook for 1 minute.

Add the chicken breast and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the tagine sauce, chicken broth, and coconut cream. Stir to combine.

Bring the mixture to a simmer.

Reduce the heat to low and cook, covered, for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
