Korean-Style German Sausage Jjigae
A hearty German-inspired Korean stew made with sausage and Korean chili flakes.
Ingredients
- β2 tsp Korean chili flakes
- β1 lb German sausagecut into bite-sized pieces
- β8 oz Rigatonicooked al dente
- β1 large Onionchopped
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β2 tbsp Soy sauce (make sure it's whole30 compliant)
- β2 cups Pork or beef broth

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.

Add the sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Remove the sausage from the pan and set aside.

Add the onion and garlic to the pan and cook until the onion is translucent.

Add the Korean chili flakes and cook for 1 minute.

Add the cooked rigatoni, soy sauce, and broth to the pan.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 10 minutes.

Return the sausage to the pan and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
