Charred Apple Tagine
A twist on the traditional Moroccan tagine, this Japanese-inspired dish combines the sweetness of charred apples with the warmth of spices.
Ingredients
- β2 large Apples
- β1/4 cup Bramley Apple Cider
- β2 tbsp Brown Sugar
- β1 tsp Crushed Red Pepper
- β1-inch piece Ginger
- β2 tbsp Sesame Oil
- β2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- β1 tsp Tagine Spice Blend

1. Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

2. Peel, core, and slice the apples into wedges.

3. In a large bowl, whisk together the apple cider, brown sugar, crushed red pepper, ginger, sesame oil, soy sauce, and tagine spice blend.

4. Add the apple wedges to the bowl and toss to coat.

5. Transfer the apple mixture to a shallow baking dish and cover with aluminum foil.

6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the apples are tender.
