Croatian Bakalar with Charred Melon Salad
A Chinese-inspired dish featuring charred melon and Croatian dried fish bakalar, perfect for a light summer meal.
Ingredients
- β1 cup, flaked Croatian bakalar
- β2 cups, diced Charred melon
- β2 inches, grated Ginger
- β2 tablespoons Soy sauce
- β1 tablespoon Honey
- β1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
- β1/4 cup, chopped Green onions
- β1 tablespoon Sesame seeds

In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, and rice vinegar. Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook for 5 minutes.

In a separate pan, toast sesame seeds over low heat for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.

In a large bowl, combine charred melon, grated ginger, and chopped green onions.

Add the cooked soy sauce mixture to the bowl and toss to combine.
