Caramel Jalebi
A popular Indian dessert made by deep-frying a fermented batter to create crispy, syrupy jalebis. This recipe uses a caramel-based syrup for a unique twist.
Ingredients
- β2 cups All-purpose flour
- β1 cup Caramel
- β1 cup Sugar
- β1 cup Ghee or oil
- β1 teaspoon Baking soda
- β1/4 teaspoon Salt
- β1 cup Yogurt
- β1 cup Soda water
- β1 tablespoon Rosewater (optional)for flavor

1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the yogurt, soda water, and caramel.

3. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and whisk until smooth.

4. Heat the ghee or oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.

5. Once the oil is hot, use a piping bag or a plastic bag with a corner cut off to pipe the batter into the oil.
