Peruvian Tuna Poke Bowl
A refreshing and flavorful dish inspired by Peruvian cuisine, featuring seared tuna on a bed of mixed greens with a zesty sauce.
Ingredients
- β4 (6 oz each) Tuna steakSushi-grade tuna
- β2 tbsp Buttery light soy sauceFor marinade
- β1 (chopped) Peruvian aji amarillo pepperFor marinade and sauce
- β1/4 cup Poke sauceSambal oelek and lime juice
- β4 cups Mixed greensFor garnish
- β2 tbsp Light olive oilFor cooking tuna

1. In a shallow dish, whisk together soy sauce, aji amarillo pepper, and poke sauce.

2. Add the tuna steaks to the marinade and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

3. Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat.

4. Remove the tuna from the marinade, letting any excess liquid drip off.

5. Add the light olive oil to the skillet and sear the tuna for 2-3 minutes per side, until cooked to your liking.

6. Transfer the tuna to a plate and let it rest for a few minutes.

7. In a separate pan, heat the poke sauce over low heat.

8. To assemble the poke bowls, place a bed of mixed greens on a plate or bowl.
