Thai Popcorn Pilaf
A Thai-inspired twist on a traditional pilaf dish, featuring crunchy popcorn and aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- β1 cup popcorn kernels
- β1 cup pilaf rice
- β2 tbsp vegan buttery sauce
- β1 tbsp aerated soy sauce
- β1 tsp venezuelan cumin powder
- β1/2 tsp Thai red chili flakes
- β1/4 tsp salt

1. Heat the vegan buttery sauce in a large saucepan over medium heat.

2. Add the pilaf rice and cook, stirring constantly, for 2-3 minutes.

3. Add the popcorn kernels and cook, stirring constantly, for 1-2 minutes.

4. Add the aerated soy sauce, venezuelan cumin powder, Thai red chili flakes, and salt.

5. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes, until the rice is lightly toasted and fragrant.

6. Add 2 cups of water to the saucepan and bring to a boil.

7. Reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the water is absorbed.
