British Bass with Italian-Style Brine
A delicious and easy-to-make Italian-style bass dish with a flavorful brine marinade.
Ingredients
- ●2 fillets British BassFresh and sustainable
- ●1/4 cup Dry British White WineFor the brine marinade
- ●1 cup BrineHomemade or store-bought
- ●2 tbsp Sea SaltFor the brine marinade
- ●1/4 cup Fresh Finger BasilChopped for garnish
- ●2 tbsp Olive OilFor cooking the bass

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Rinse the bass fillets and pat them dry with a paper towel.

In a small bowl, mix together the dry white wine, brine, and sea salt to create the marinade.

Place the bass fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them.

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.

Remove the bass from the marinade and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Drizzle the olive oil over the bass and sprinkle with chopped fresh basil.

Bake the bass in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
