Shrimp and Portuguese Flatbread Tartine
A French-inspired open-faced sandwich featuring succulent shrimp, crunchy flatbread, and a tangy bitter twist.
Ingredients
- β4 slices Portuguese flatbread
- β1 pound, peeled and deveined Large shrimp
- β1 cup, chopped Bitter greens
- β1 cup, chopped Tender lettuce
- β1/2 cup, thinly sliced Red onion
- β2 cloves, minced Garlic
- β2 tablespoons Lemon juice
- β1 tablespoon Olive oil
- βto taste Salt and pepper

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Toast the flatbread slices for 5 minutes.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through.

Transfer the shrimp to a plate and cover with foil to keep warm.

In the same skillet, add the chopped bitter greens and tender lettuce. Cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes.

Add the sliced red onion to the skillet and cook for an additional minute.

Stir in the lemon juice and season with salt and pepper to taste.

To assemble the tartine, place a toasted flatbread slice on a plate, top with a few cooked shrimp, and spoon the green mixture over the top.
