Toor Dal Fry

- β1 cup toor dal
- β1 medium onion
- β1-inch piece ginger
- β2-3 cloves garlic
- β1 small chili pepper
- β1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- β1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- βto taste salt
- β2 tablespoons mustard oil or vegetable oil

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.

Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
