Pecan Onigiri
A unique fusion of Japanese and American flavors, featuring crispy pecans and aromatic fillings.
Ingredients
- β2 cups Japanese short-grain rice
- β1/2 cup Pecans
- β2 tablespoons Sesame oil
- β1 tablespoon Soy sauce
- β1 teaspoon Sugar
- βpinch Salt
- β1 tablespoon Miso pasteoptional

Rinse the rice thoroughly and cook according to the package instructions.

In a pan, toast the pecans over medium heat until fragrant and lightly browned.

In a small bowl, whisk together sesame oil, soy sauce, sugar, and miso paste (if using).

Once the rice is cooked, allow it to cool slightly before handling.

Shape the cooked rice into small triangular shapes and flatten slightly.

Place a small amount of the toasted pecans in the center of each rice triangle.

Drizzle the sesame oil mixture over the pecans.

Fold the rice over the filling to form a triangle and press gently to seal.
