Malaysian Satay with Peanut Sauce
Grilled meat skewers served with a creamy and nutty peanut sauce, inspired by Malaysian street food.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Satay beef (or chicken)cut into small pieces
- β1/2 cup Coconut milkfor marinade
- β2 tablespoons Peanut butterfor sauce
- β2 tablespoons Lime juicefor marinade
- β1 tablespoon Honeyfor sauce
- β1 tablespoon Gingergrated, for marinade
- β1 clove Garlicminced, for marinade
- β1 tablespoon Corianderground, for marinade
- β1/4 cup Cilantrochopped, for garnish
- β10-12 Skewersfor grilling

1. In a blender or food processor, combine coconut milk, peanut butter, lime juice, honey, ginger, garlic, and coriander. Blend until smooth.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together the marinade ingredients. Add the beef or chicken and mix until well coated.

3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.

4. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

5. Thread the marinated meat onto skewers.

6. Grill the satay for 5-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

7. Meanwhile, cook the peanut sauce over low heat, whisking constantly, until heated through.
