Saudi Arabian Beef Brisket Hash
A flavorful and hearty Saudi Arabian dish made with slow-cooked beef brisket and hash browned with aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- β1.5 pounds beef brisketfirst cut
- β1 tablespoon aromatic spicesblend of cumin, coriander, and cinnamon
- β2 tablespoons cooking oilvegetable or canola oil
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β1 cup hashdiced
- β1 teaspoon saltkosher or sea salt
- β1/2 teaspoon black pepperfreshly ground
- β2 tablespoons lemon juicefreshly squeezed

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Sear the beef brisket until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes per side.

Remove the brisket from the pot and set aside.

Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the aromatic spices, salt, and black pepper to the pot and cook for 1 minute.

Add the hash to the pot and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Return the brisket to the pot and add the lemon juice.

Cover the pot and transfer it to the oven.
