Spiced Ethiopian Lentil Stew

- β1 medium onion
- β2 inches ginger
- β2 tsp kik (Ethiopian spice blend)
- β1 tsp alicha spice
- β2 slices chewy onion bread (or regular bread)
- β2 tbsp vegetable oil
- β4 cups water
- β1 tsp aromatic spice blend

Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.

Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the kik and alica spice blend and cook for 1 minute.
