Creamy Appleton Chicken
A French-inspired dish featuring tender chicken cooked in a rich and creamy Appleton-infused sauce, served with a side of steamed vegetables.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds chicken breastboneless and skinless
- β1/4 cup Appleton
- β2 tablespoons Monsoon
- β2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- β1 cup chicken broth
- β1/2 cup heavy cream
- β1/4 cup fresh parsleychopped

Season the chicken breast with salt and pepper.

Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter to the skillet. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Sprinkle the flour over the onion and garlic mixture, and cook for 1 minute.

Gradually pour in the chicken broth, whisking continuously to avoid lumps.

Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until it thickens.

Stir in the Appleton and Monsoon. Reduce the heat to low and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon some of the sauce over the top. Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
