Japanese Comforting Agedashi Tofu
A classic Japanese dish featuring deep-fried tofu in a savory broth, often served as a comforting meal or side. This recipe combines the best of Japanese flavors and textures.
Ingredients

- β1 large Potatoesthinly sliced
- β2 cups All-purpose flour
- β1 cup Cornstarch
- β2 cups Vegetable oilfor frying
- β4 cups Dashi brothhomemade or store-bought
- β2 tablespoons Soy sauce
- β2 tablespoons Mirin
- β2 teaspoons Sesame oil
- β1/4 cup Green onionsthinly sliced

Cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes and set aside.

Heat 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Dredge the tofu in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.

Transfer the fried tofu to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
